When MIDIfying an old equipment, it is sometimes better to leave existing wiring as they are, and just cut the old circuit boards. To simplify reconnection of old contact wires to MIDI scanner, you may now use the WIPLUG2 adapter, that nicely fits into any 16-pin header. It helps soldering existing old wires to a 16-way plug. The distances between soldering pads are big enough to make soldering easy. Pads are marked with pin numbers, and location of the plug in the header is marked with small white rectangle that should match the slot in 16-pin header.
